Ephesus today
We started to day today watching a beautiful sunrise in the west! We look out over a harbour at several very large cruise ships that come to Kusadasi just to visit the magnificent ruins of Ephesus.
After breakfast we headed off to see the ruins of Ephesus which was the capital of the Roman Empire in the Asian Province. Its buildings can be dated from 1100BC to 1100AD. The highlight was the HUGE library of Celcus and the amphitheatre with seating for 26,000 people.
